What is the Recommended Cleaning Process for my Boss Barrel?

  • Always Ensure Firearms is Unloaded before Cleaning
  • Wet 3 to 4 patches with Bore Cleaner and push through bore to remove loose fouling. Only push patches in ONE direction.
  • Make 10 to 15 passes with a tight-fitting Nylon brush saturated with Bore Cleaner.
  • Repeat Step 1 and let soak for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Lastly, push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean.
  • Repeat if necessary.
  • When storing, dampen a patch with bore cleaner to help prevent corrosion. 
  • Before using firearm, run a dry patch through the bore removing any residue and ensure against obstructions.

 

What is the Recommended Barrel Break-In Proceedure for my new Boss Barrel?

We recommend a 10-shot sequence break in. Fire 10 rounds, clean and oil the bore. Repeat one more time. 

 

How do I clean the Carbon on my Boss Barrel?

 Harsh chemicals or abrasive objects should not come into contact with the composite surface.

Warranty Information:

Boss Barrels strives to achieve zero manufacturing defects. Each barrel goes through a rigorous quality control process before leaving manufacturing. The limited warranty covers the lifetime of the registered original owner in the event of a materials or manufacturing defect. In the event of a defective barrel, the barrel must be sent in immediately for inspection. If there is determined to be a manufacturing defect after examination, the barrel will either be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer at the manufacturer's discretion. Complete the Barrel Registration documentation from bossbarrels.com/barrel-registration within 30 days of purchase.


The Warranty DOES NOT Cover:
- Damage as a result of neglect, abuse, corrosion, or failure to provide adequate maintenance.
- Modifications, alterations, or repairs not authorized by Boss Barrels.
- Any damage as the result of improperly loaded or reloaded ammunition.
- Normal wear and tear of any components.
- Boss Barrels will not be liable for any accidental damage or damage caused by negligence.

Barrel Care:
The user is responsible for care, maintenance, break in, and use of high-quality commercial ammunition. For your barrel to perform reliably and safely, routine maintenance must be performed. Routine cleaning must be completed to remove any firing residue, grease, dirt, rust, oil, or exposure to any moisture. Before firing,
ensure no obstructions are in the bore to prevent damage or injury. Harsh chemicals or abrasive objects should not come into contact with the composite surface.

Since the barrel is just one component of the overall makeup of the firearm, we cannot guarantee accuracy. Ammunition, shooter ability, conditions, barrel care, and other firearm components all play factors in the overall accuracy of the firearm
